LOU PETONOVICH, CHAIRMAN & CEO
Mr. Petonovich started at Alloy Engineering as a superintendent with a welding background within the construction, Steel Mill & Automotive Industry in 1979. Lou has held the position of Plant Manager, Vice President / General Manager and assumed the role of President / CEO in 1999. Lou is currently an inside Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Alloy Engineering.
Lou spent time in the United States Air force, serving four years in the Military Police and then a four year apprentice program with the Cleveland Building Trades. Lou is certified by Cleveland State University in advanced labor law and federal mediation.
Lou is a Chairman Emeritus of the Cleveland YMCA, an honoree position for life and currently sits on the Foundation Board for the YMCA. He served as Board Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and spent 8 years as a member of the board of Directors. He is currently still active and most recently installed the new officers at the annual meeting in April of 2013.
His personal philosophy is to surround himself with employees that are passionate / ambitious and smarter than him. He says: This is the strongest team we’ve had in our history.
